‘Airborne’ car crashes into Nairne house in South Australia


A family narrowly escaped serious injury when a van crashed through the front window of their home in South Australia.

The van “became airborne” and crashed into the home in Nairne in the Adelaide Hills about 11pm on Saturday, SA Police said.

Two men and their pet dog were sitting in the lounge room at the front of the home when the vehicle crashed through the window.

The men and dog did not sustain serious injuries in the incident.

The 27-year-old driver of the van sustained minor injuries.

The Milang man was taken to Mount Barker Hospital, where he underwent blood testing.

The SES attended the scene and propped up the front wall of the home for safety.

The van was towed away.
